Formula One: Red Bull ace driver, Webber eyes the victory in the initial race at Yeongam, Korean GP
The thirty four year old Australian ace racer, Mark Webber thinks that the victory in the opening Korean Grand Prix will give him the required points to claim his first Formula 1 championship.
Currently, the Aussie is leading the standings table and is fourteen points ahead of Spanish star Fernando Alonso and his Red Bull partner Sebastian Vettel.
The Yeongam racing circuit of Korean Grand Prix is very new for all the drivers and that is why the race at Yeongam is expected to be even more thrilling and exciting. While talking about the fact, Mark Webber expressed his views and said that the track
for the upcoming race is new and same for everyone. He added that all he needs to do is go there and give his best to clinch an important victory to end the current season in a glorious way. The thirty four years old added that it is now important for him
to win a race and he is very confident that he can do it.
Now there are only three races left in the season and drivers are trying their level best to overtake each other and clutch every possibility of gaining the points. While talking about the matter, Webber said that the points table is still open and he is
not will to bow out at all.
It is to be noticed that Webber had finished second behind his collaborator Sebastian Vettel in the Japanese Grand Prix, which was held on last Sunday. The Australian veteran said that he cannot slow down and this is the time to race hard. He continued and
said that he will try his level best to win every coming race as the competition is still open.
The situation in the championship standings can change at anytime because the point’s difference between the top five drivers is very little and Mark Webber is very well aware of the fact. The veteran from the team Red Bull expressed his thoughts and told
the media that he is very well aware that his rivals have had a very tough week. This has given him a certain edge in the lead but he knows the fact that the condition of race can change in no time and he should keep on trying to snatch victories for him.
Webber is of the view that the championship is not over yet, as the final race is still to come. He said that he is currently leading the table and the fact has given him a lot of confidence boost but there are still three races left in the season and they
can be very crucial.
According to the critics, the next week’s race of Korean Grand Prix will be crucial and dramatic as the conditions of the racing track are very uncertain.
Webber added that he is currently leading the points table but he is not the favourite for the championship title. In order to prove himself as one of the best Formula 1 drivers he will have to secure at least one more victory. Later he said that the situation
can change very quickly but he is very hopeful of delivering the best for himself and for his team. He added that all he needs is to stay consistent and keep his nerves. Webber said that in the remaining races of the season a lot of things can happen, which
can affect the outcome.
The Korean Grand Prix race is going to be tough and exciting as the drivers are not aware of the racing track and it can change the fate of any driver for the rest of the season. After the Korean Grand Prix, the Formula 1 drivers will aim for the second
last race in Brazil.
