Formula One: Red Bulls dominate the race at the Japanese Grand Prix
The two Red Bulls were in their own league today as both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were driving in their own world today at the race. Sebastain Vettel won the race after taking the pole position at Suzuka followed by his teammate Mark Webber in 2nd place. The two drivers made an outstanding example of teamwork and dominance at Suzuka this weekend as they proved that their team was the best team by a mile.
Sebastian Vettel had a decent start and stayed in front for almost the whole race after he led the grid from the first lap. Sebastian was the fastest man on track with a variety of fastest laps and did not leave room for any mistake this time. The German driver did not let his teammate get a chance to overtake his Red Bull and as we all know, no one can stop Sebastian Vettel when he is in his aggressive role.
Red Bulls were followed by the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso and it seemed that Fernando already gave up on the Red Bulls mid way through the race as he figured that he could not match the pace of the RB6 at Suzuka.
The Suzuka grand prix was a disappointment for Lewis Hamilton, as he had to get a gearbox change and because of that, got a 5 place penalty on the grid.
However, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were on a role as everything was in top notch condition for the Red Bulls. They had everything running perfectly for them this weekend, from the cars to their strategy, from the pits to the drivers, everyone played a part from the team and the two drivers were thrilled to take the top two places on the podium.
With three races remaining, Webber leads the championship standings with 220 points, ahead of Vettel and Alonso with 206. Alonso, who won at Singapore last month and has four wins this season, is in second place because he has won more races than Vettel.
McLaren's Jenson Button was fourth, followed by teammate Lewis Hamilton.
The next race is scheduled for Oct. 24 in South Korea, however, there are concerns the track may not be ready. A final decision on the Korean GP venue will be made at the start of next week when FIA race director, Charlie Whiting is set to complete a pre-race safety inspection.
