Formula One: The Korean Grand Prix circuit finally approved for the race by the inspection team
It is reported that the Formula 1 officials have visited the venue for the Korean Grand Prix and have given their approval that the race will commence according to the plan. Now the race will be held on 24th of October according to the schedule.
Very recently, the technical member from FIA, Charlie Whiting completed a two day inspection of the racing track for the Korean Grand Prix and has approved it for the race on 24th of October. It is also to be notified that Whiting paid special attention
to the final layer of tarmac.
Now new photographs of the track show a newly completed grand stand with the pit and the enclosure areas are seemed to be finished as well. The cars will hit the circuit on 22nd of October just after ten days of the announcement of the track’s approval for
the race.
It is to be noticed that the Boss of Formula 1 Bernie Ecclestone had some serious concerns about the track and he had expressed his doubts of whether the race could proceed or not. It is also to be notified that the officials for the Korean Grand Prix were
given extra time to complete all the requirements as soon as possible by the motorsport’s governing body. According to the rules, tracks should be given approval approximately three months before the event takes place.
After inspecting and approving the racing track for the event, Charlie Whiting expressed his thoughts about the track and said it is a satisfactory circuit to race on. He added that soon a license will be issued to it on behalf of Korea Automobile Racing
Association (KARA).
The local organizers and officials have blamed the weather for the delay in completing the work over the circuit. The Yeongam circuit is built close to the south west coast of South Korea.
Now there are only three races left in the season and the upcoming race at the newly made racing circuit in Korea is no doubt going to be thrilling and full of action. Currently the Australian ace driver, Mark Webber is leading the standings table and his
team mate from the Red Bull racing team Sebastian Vettel is fourteen points adrift from him.
After the permission by the FIA’s inspection team for the race on 24th of October, the chairman of KARA, Chung Yung Cho expressed his thoughts very happily and excitedly and told the media that they are happy that everything went according to the plan. He
added that the Korea will warmly welcome the Formula 1 society to the Korean racing circuit, as 24th of October is going to be a very special event and day for the Korean people. The Formula 1 race will be held in Korea for the first time and the event is
no doubt going to be overwhelming and exciting for the people of Korea.
Yung Cho told the media about the circuit and said that innovative layout of the circuit will allow the spectators to sit close to the track and proper security measures are taken as well.
The South Korean Car manufactures believe that the Formula 1 event will display a good image of Korea to the world and will help to improve the reputation of South Korea as well. It is also to be remembered that South Korea emerged as one of the World’ fasted
growing exporter and the upcoming Formula 1 event will help Korea to portray a friendly and welcoming picture of it.
The upcoming race of Formula 1 at the Yeongam racing circuit is no doubt going to be full of action, as the season is about to end and all the drivers are trying their level best to perform to their fullest and the new track is not going to be less than
a test for them.
