Formula One: The Korean arena ready to hold a tough battle
The Formula One fans around the world are as excited and thrilled as they could be as the season is to host only three more races now. The entire season has been filled with suspense and drama. Every passing race has gathered more uncertainty and fervour,
on as well as off the track.
The Yeongam Circuit of Korea is getting ready to host the next round of the season. Thousands of racing fans are pouring in the small town that lies very close to Seoul, the capital and largest city of South Korea. Anticipation keeps rising and the crazy
race fans debate and bet in support of their favourite stars, as the rally of the cars get ready to ramp at the virgin circuit on 24th of October.
The preparations of the Korean people are mounting with every passing day. A little Korean girl residing close by the track, talked to a local reporter earlier this week exclaiming that she cannot wait to hear the screaming and screeching of the cars in
her home town. The growling of the over powered engines and the rumbling of the cars with over 300 kph speed, is a scene that many just dream to behold.
The Korean Grand Prix has at last been finalised after a long period of doubt and uncertainty. As per the written regulation of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile
(FIA) a new Formula One track is to be inspected 60 days ahead of a race, however, extra lenience was shown by the authorities for this particular track. The final inspection that was initially due two months ahead of the race was postponed up till
mid of September. However, the track was still not completed so the final date was settled for 11th of October. Contrary to the expectations of all, the track got the green signal and now amidst all the jubilation and celebration the sixteenth race
of the season is ready to take place.
The race is very exciting for the teams as the track is still unknown to the drivers and their teams. Although a lot of data has been shared by FIA and some of the other sources yet written facts are contrasting the real events. The teams keep their fingers
crossed as their engineers are trying to make the most accurate calculations to adjust the cars accordingly.
The top three teams and the top five drives of the season are looking forward at this race as being the most important one of the season. The determined racers are ready to backlash anyone who comes in their way of success as there are only 75 more points
at their disposal and the next world champion would be announced.
The Red Bull driver Mark Webber currently leads the tally with 220 points being able to grab four race wins. On the other hand his teammate, Sebastian Vettel is settled at third place in the points’ tally, with his 206 points. The team is very hopeful for
the upcoming race as they have demonstrated a great pace at the last episode of Formula One in Japan last week bagging a 1-2 finish for the team. Moreover, Red Bull has the advantage of running the demonstration lap on the track with Karun Chandhok earlier
this season, providing them with data and information more than any other team.
Moreover, the Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso currently stands at second place in the charts with points equal to Vettel, yet his chances are thought to be very bright owing to his prior experiences. He has previously bagged two world championships which
make him more immune to this tense situation.
The fourth and fifth places have been occupied by the two McLaren men Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. Despite some poor performances lately the team is very confident for the Korean Grand Prix as they are to run their last and final updates here.
So hold your breath and watch out as the arena gets ready and the gladiators move ahead for a tough battle.
