Formula One – Tug of war for the Champions’ title

This season has been one of the most exciting and thrilling at Formula One. There had never been a shortage of action and advancement, controversy and contention and on and off-track drama right from the start of the year.
Now as the season is about to enter its last and final few races, the action has reached its peak. The battle for the championship title is becoming more and more nerve-tickling and nail-biting. With every passing racing the certainties
and probabilities shake off.
After the exhilarating race witnessed last week at Monza, the championship has taken yet another turn, as Fernando Alonso claimed to be a threatening contender of the season.
The McLaren driver Jenson Button, on his return from the last race, claimed that the battle for 2010 World title is expected to keep its suspense right until the end of the season.  He believes that the driver who would be able
to stay the coolest under all the stress and strain would be the one standing at the top in the end.
The season has finally entered its most exciting and crucial part, as only five races are left and the top five drivers Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Button and Sebastian Vettel stand only at a difference of twenty four points. Such a close
battle has not been seen since 1981, when the group of top five separated by only seven points.
While talking to media, Button proclaimed that the way the season had flowed, it is likely that the last race at Abu Dhabi would only be able to pronounce the winner and any predictions before that may go wrong.
He further went on telling that although all the top five drivers are doing well, none is exceptional among the quintet who could over-shadow the fortune of the other four, including himself.
The current charts are really a spectacle where one can’t help but say, “Oh! How could they stand so close?”
After the Spa race, the championship took a new turn as Hamilton came to the top, thus making everybody think that the season’s win is finally a tug between Mark Webber and Hamilton, but the last race once again changed the views.
"I think we know that one driver's going to walk away with the World title, and there's going to be a fight right to the very end."
He further added that now the most important part in snatching the title would be played by “consistency.” Whoever is able to show the maximum stability in points’ collection would be stand out. He added that one cannot ignore the importance of a speedy
car, as without the fastest car on the track, points collection is not possible.
At this stage of the competition, there is simply no room for mistake and a very small error could prove to be fatal for the hopes of the title, “The guy who cracks least will be World Champion," declared Button.
Button, who is defending the Drivers’ Championship title this season, so far stands at fourth place with a total of one hundred and sixty five points, whereas, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari stands a place ahead of him with a benefit of only a single point.
The earlier race held at Spa last month proved to be really unlucky for the driver, as he came out of the race pointless after being hit by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.
The next race is to be held at Singapore, until then the fans have to wait to watch the racing hero.
