Formula One heads for a sizzling September in Singapore
Singapore, the beautiful island country is all decorated and blushing with colours and cheers as it prepares to hail the Formula One rally this weekend. Though this is the third season for the country to host a race on its newly
built track yet the excitement and anticipation is just as much as it was witnessed on the very first year of the track.
The Asian hub of festivals and carnivals stands as world’s fourth mightiest financial centre and a global cosmopolitan. Like many of the other Formula One venues it is an international trade and finance centre which offers the
best quality living in the entire Asia and stands eleventh highest in the world, being one of the fastest growing economies around the globe.
As the Formula One drivers and fans head for this fifteenth race of the season, Singapore is all prepared to explode with celebration and jubilation. The dainty cars ramping at the illuminated track of Marina Bay, under the flood
of artificial lights in the middle of night is a spectacle one cannot see anywhere else on the globe.
In a country where night never falls, rather it rises, the race weekend is served with several other unforgettable events taking place alongside like the music gala that will be staged at the same venue on the race nights. The
occasion is to be studded with an array of stars like Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Daughtry, and Adam Lambert who will be dazzling at the glowing venue. The event will be further garnished with great musical performances of the R&B singer and Grammy Award
winner Raphael Saadiq in addition to the rap star, Sean Kingston.
If you think that is all for the weekend, you are wrong! Still there is more that Marina Bay can serve you with as the nightlife here is livelier than daytime in other parts of the world. The place is famous for its diverse food
and beverages as it envelops migrants from all across the world. Cuisines of all continents of the globe are available here which increases the celebrations of the race night, making it a unique experience for all the race lovers. The shrieks of tyres and
the roars of engines coupled with drums and guitars makes the night exhilarating and bring all your senses to life.
The event is also going to be very special for all as the city is also celebrating its Mid-Autumn Festival that has started from 11th of September and will continue till 10th of October. The event is much
like a thanksgiving of Western countries where family and friends come together for fun, food and great moments together. This time of the year serves an extra festivity and flamboyance to the tourists as well as the residents of the place.
This all though has a lot of magnetism and thrill yet what makes the weekend even more special is the situation that had been built at this year’s charts so far. The top five drivers stand with just a difference of twenty four
points, a situation not witnessed in the sport since decades.
The Singapore Grand Prix is of much significance now as the track is very tricky, bumpy and takes a real test of the skill and endurance of drivers and the hot and humid climate here makes things even tougher.
Well, two more days to go and we will witness the most exciting and nerve tickling round of the year, so make all your senses ready for a big dose of fun and awe.
