near future.
"I think he's a very gifted player, he's a good fielder and very good player, not just in one-day cricket, but I think he's got the potential to play Test cricket as well in the future," said the home skipper while speaking to media reporters ahead of the

"He's got a very good technique, he's a very good top-order batsman and I think he can play a big part in Australian cricket going forward.,” he added further.
There are reports that after an impressive summer for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Queensland-c834, Cricket Australia selectors are keen to see the 26-year-old right-handed middle order batsman play at the international level as well. The Queenslander is likely to make his international
debut in Friday's tri-series match in Perth against Sri Lanka. The hard hitting opening batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 is expected to make way for the uncapped Forrest.
There are other names doing the rounds for the drop, such as the former Aussie skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Hussey-c1380, but there is a growing speculation that Warner will make way tomorrow.
"It's good that Foz (Forrest) is around the group. It gives him a great opportunity to see what it's like around the Australian change rooms and how we go about our work in training and things like that," said Clarke, who took over as regular captain in
April last year, after Ponting relinquished the role following the poor show in the Ashes and the World Cup.
Clarke, however, did not reveal whether or not Forrest will be given an ODI debut at Perth tomorrow, as he said, “I'm not sure yet what XI we'll take onto the ground," when asked about Friday’s playing XI.
Forrest, the right-handed middle order batsman has so far played 22 List A matches scoring 503 runs at an average of 26.47, including two half centuries.
