Fortuna Sittard sign SC Heerenveen’s Richard Stolte – Dutch Eredivisie news
Reports from Trendwork Arena confirm that Eerste Divisie outfit, Fortuna Sittard, have acquired the services of Richard Stolte from SC Heerenveen. The 21-year-old is Fortuna’s third signing of the ongoing summer transfer market.
The promising youngster has been a part of the Heerenveen squad since the 2009/10 season. The young midfielder made his debut at McDOS Goffertstadion against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 Nijmegen in August 2009. However, he has not managed to represent his side again since then.
Reports suggest that the midfielder was far from pleased with his situation at Abe Lenstra Stadion and decided to make a move away from his current club.
Fortuna were looking for a new midfielder to give their side more options in the centre of the pitch, and especially on the left flank. The club management sees the 21-year-old as a perfect addition to their ranks and believes that the midfielder will certainly
strengthen up their squad.
Wim Dusseldorp, the Fortuna manager, is extremely delighted with the addition of the youngster to their ranks. The tactician knows the midfielder from their time together at Abe Lenstra Stadion, where he was the assistant coach.

everywhere in the basic formations of different clubs”, Dusseldrop was quoted as saying to the media.
The tactician then went on to reveal that the 21-year-old midfielder was certainly one of the players that he wanted to lure to Trendwork Arena, as he can be used at different positions.
“Richard Stolte was for me one of the players that were above average interest. Physically strong, fast, always want to go... He can be used at all positions on the left, but the first option is that of left midfielder”, the tactician concluded.
Fortuna have been struggling to perform impressively for the last couple of seasons. However, their intentions to bring new players in the ongoing summer transfer market suggest that Fortuna have set their sights on promotion in the upcoming season and to
play top tier football in the 2012/13 campaign.
