Fortunata to make the most out of the Coral Brighton Belle 3rd Semi-Final
The third semi-final of the Coral Brighton Belle will be contested by one of the most interesting entries, the two-year-old, Fortunata. It will be raced over 515 metres flat on Thursday, 23rd August at Hove. Taking their chances for bagging the £200 prize money are Starmount Swift, Aero Joker, Steam Machine, Sherrys Rebound and Hailsham Hawk.
The most credible entry for the race, the blue b***h, Fortunata, started racing just during this season and has experienced fluctuations in the rankings ranging from winning the race to ending sixth.
Even though she kick started the career with training sessions, it was not before the third career attempt that the two-year-old won a race. She won the Grade A4 Dobbins@thecross Dual Distance A4 Semi-Final on 16th March, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 550 yards.
Black Shaw’s daughter led from the first position and then ran on for the wire concluding the race in 30.40 seconds and winning by the margin of 4 ½ lengths.
Since the past six races, the M. Dartnall trained won four of the outings, finishing sixth and then second in the remaining races.
The two-year-old won the Coral Hove Maiden – Trip on 15th July, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres. The favourite entry was swift to pick up pace, switch from middle to wide and then lead for the remaining distance in 29.63 seconds. She defeated Teejays Bluehawk by 5 ¼ lengths.
The two-year-old out of, Anhid Reta, won the very next race but then lost the chance of a hat-trick by finishing sixth in the race that was to serve as the third pillar of the threesome victory.
Fortunata won the Coral.Co.UK Ladies on 5th August, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres. She settled the distance in 30.16 seconds and set Jaytee Monroe as the runner-up.
The blue b***h then took charge of the Gala Coral Ladies (Duplicated) on 9th August, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres. She made it to the other end of the wire in 29.85 seconds and escaped defeat just by a head’s margin.
For a second time she missed the chance of striking a hat-trick on her profile and is highly likely to swing into form tonight.
