In India the representative (M.P., MLA etc) make a fortune with in 5 yrs of their term. My suggestion is that a person should get the chance to become people's representative only once.

Let us hold a lottery every 2 and a half year to select representatives to Rajya Sabha, Lokh Sabha, State Assemblies, Muncipality etc. etc. Through this way we can save considerabily on election charges.

Please don't say that corruption, criminals entering democratic set up & inefficiency will be the result of this. Because all of the three already exist in our system.

And regarding our democratic right to select our representative. After getting elected a representative never comes to ask people what stand should he take on an issue. After completion of 5 yrs he either contest from same constituency or choose another one if he fear losing from the old constituency.

The 2 main advantages of this system is:

1) More people will become rich.

2) Chances of getting really good representatives.

  1. It may be happening. But, theoretically, you are supposed to enter politicians and hold electoral offices, eyeing for gain. If you encourage sending more people for these elected offices, with the possibility of their making a fortune within their term of office, then not Even God can save us. Let us all strive and work for a system only those with a motive for serving the country are elected to the offices of profit.

  2. there will be a chance of getting good representatives.

it is a gamble. if representatives selected by lottery are corrupt.

then you will be in a situation as people of many african  countries today are i.e. no food, no security,no home,no money.

    it will be a disaster.
