Forward function - not working

I recently purchased a chinese make radio controlled toy car. All functions except the forward movement of the car is working. Backward (reverse) movement, left & right turns - all are working. When I use the forward function, the headlights are switched on, but the car is not moving.Can I fix it myself? Please helpAntony Thomas C M
