In Rugby Union (or League) if a pass is made that is exactly parallel to the try line, is this a forward pass or not?

  1. It is only a forward pass if the ball is actually thrown or moves forward. If it goes straight across, then this is usually referred to as a flat pass.

  2. no, parallel isnt forward, is it?? :-) xx

  3. No, if it is exactly parallel then it has not gone forward, but because this is hard to judge, it is generally accepted that the call in these instances can go either way.

  4. Not.
