Fossil watch doesnt keep the date accurate

Question

The date moves at a faster rate. I last reset it on the 11th, the date today is the 14th, however my watch says its the 17th. It's always consistent as well. I've tried resetting it a number of times but with the same outcome. This is already my exchange because I got a defective one for christmas that had pieces floating around in it.
