West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster has urged the club to extend defender and key player Jonas Olsson’s stay at the club.
Foster, who himself signed a permanent deal with the Baggies this summer after an impressive season long loan last campaign, wants the powerhouse defender to stay at the club. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international said that he would like to see Olsson continue his solid
centre-back partnership with Gareth McAuley.
Foster has been impressed by the way Olsson has played this season in the opening games of the Premier League. West Brom’s impressive defensive performances have them sitting at the sixth spot, tied with Tottenham on 11 points.
West Brom managed impressive wins against the likes of Liverpool and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043, and also played out a number of draws. The club lost their first game of the season against Fulham in a disappointing 3-0 score line, but managed to bounce back through a 1-0 win
against Reading at The Hawthorns.

The goalkeeper is aware that Olsson is on the final year of his contract with the Baggies, and has urged the managerial staff to open contract talks with the Swedish international as soon as possible.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, Foster said:
"Jonas and Gareth have been that way since the middle of last season. They are absolute warriors."
"They took some serious knocks against Villa. They have got bumps and bruises all over, but they will always be in there fighting for you and it's nice to have two people like that in front of you.”
"I don't think there are many better centre-back pairings in the Premier League. I just hope Jonas will stay. He is such an important part of our team. I think the chairman (Jeremy Peace) needs to sit down (with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonas-c18967).”
West Brom take on Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 this Saturday at the Hawthorns. The Hoops just lost a home game to West Ham, and will find it difficult to get a result against an in-form West Brom team.
