Found a bag of old tulip bulbs....

They are several years old, is it worth it to try and plant them or should I just throw them away?

Sure, why not? Bulbs can last for many years. If they are not obviously rotten they will probably produce.

I found some unidentifyable bulbs out in my shed several years ago that I'm sure were years old when I discovered them.  I went ahead and planted them and although not all of them sprouted, I did wind up with some irises, some daylilies and some tulips.  I say it is worth a try based on my results.
