but ever couple of minutes it will move really fast and try to fly but then 10 seconds later it will stop and shut it's eyes.

and you might say there's nothing you can do but can you think of anything we can to do feed it and how to feed it anything to help it

  1. To all who said "let nature take it's course": let's do the same to YOU when YOU get hit by a car! what a wonderful idea!

  2. I say take it to a vet. You're not sure if that bird carries any disease, first off.

You can try feeding it small pieces of fruit or bird feed. But be careful. Since it's a wild bird, it may attack you since it isn't familiar with you. Hm, how to feed it? Why don't you try putting the food on a small plate? That way you don't risk getting attacked and it can eat in peace.

    Hope that helps. =].

  3. some people's kids huh?

    try this site for info:

    http://www.wildbirdrehab.org/911.html

    good luck

  4. Keep it in  cage for a couple of days and it will be fine.

Just put some newspaper on the bottom and drop some food on the floor

  5. that is so sad. the only thing you can do is let Nature take it's course or take it to a vet or the state conservation dept. They track this sort of thing.. It may have been exposed to a chemical pesticide or have a disease.

  6. That really is a tough one - maybe call a vet and ask what they would do?  Maybe call animal control and they would know what do to that's best for it?  If it doesn't look like it can be helped sometimes the best thing to do is put it out of it's misery.

I love animals too, and I know it's hard but sometimes that's the best way - if you're with someone that can take care of it.  But if you live in a city call animal control or the humane society and hopefully they will know what do do.

  7. ... sometimes they are merely stunned and not seriously injured (from hitting a window). It can keep them from flying for a short time, but then they will recover. I'd leave it for about an hour, and see if it recovers on its own, before attempting any action of your own.

  8. Please, just leave it alone and let nature take it's course. Your interference will just make it worse.

  9. I recommend bringing it to the vet.  Is it a a wild bird, or a pet type of bird.  It is probably very sick and injured and needs medical attention.  Call your local vet and ask them what to do,  and if it's wild, call the nearest wildlife sanctuary.

  10. Ok wrap its body not its head gently in a washcloth and then call your vet if they cant do anything call fish and wildlife service.

  11. Well once and i while we get a bird that hits one of our windows,( see we live in the country). and if it isnt dead, he usually put it in a box, and cover the box with a towel, and then put it in a curtain place, ( like a shed or behind a tree, where somthing of someone wont hurt it) and then leave it there and wait for an hour or two, and then we check on it agian, wew dont usually call the vet, becasue "face it" they cant do anything to help it really!

After we check the bird, somtimes it is healed and ready to hop round and somtimes fly!!!!!!

so you might want to try that, if you want!!!!!
