  1. White tail deer are not worht much since much of UNited States is loaded with them. If it were Moose Antlers orElk it may be worth more if it is a full set.

I have people give me white tail antlers to make knife handles or to at least make one for their own knife.

Now if you have a source for India Stag antler ( or Sambar stag) then it is a different story. India stag is sought after and although I am not sure if it is the current case, this was not being shipped to the US for about 8 years. You might be able to purchase it now but it is not cheap.

  2. IT'S ILLEGAL! You can not sell wild game. Any wild game part is protected by law to prevent poaching. It's not illegal to keep it, but you can't sell it.

  3. I see impressive sets selling for $25 sometimes at the shows in Florida, where impressive racks are very rare

Nothing illegal at all about selling sheds, ever seen a stag handled knife or pistol grips

Those things were once on an animal

  4. It's called a "shed antler," look on ebay, it's not worth much unless it's really big.

  5. One antler is not worth much.   A matching pair would be better.   Even so, no one I know would pay $100 for one antler, or even two.

  6. I'll give you $2 U.S. for it -- but you gotta pay the shipping charges.

Shed antlers are so bluddy common they ain't worth anything unless they are available in mass quantities or are exceptionally rare...such as a minimum of 20 matched pairs or a single shed that is in such perfect condition it might have been dropped only an hour ago.

Good luck finding anything like that.

  7. Under Provincial Law, the whim of a heavily armed government employee reigns supreme, regardless of inconvenient scraps of fading do-gooder interference on crumbling paper somewhere. Anybody can make trouble for anyone else, some greatly more than others. A worst case scenario would be the Gestapo confiscating the obviously naturally-dropped antler ( the skull interface is proof it was a natural shedding), writing you a summons or worse, and then somehow real poached evidence mysteriously becoming substituted for it as soon as some idiot discovered they were about to look like what they are, in court in front of their co-workers and boss! I know one person who did time for oregano, and another whose Marigolds were magically transformed thusly. In both cases, the establishment posed very solemnly, assuming the arrestee "must be" guilty of lots of stuff, and gaveled it through. We see a lot of this, where people didn't cover their behinds in advance. You must photograph the butt-end of the antler, to prove it was not taken by force (with no deer tag currently legally attached), and put the photo away somewhere, before advertising it. Now the really good news. Nobody is likely to give you more than $5 for it, and it will probably be used for something "strange", which you probably don't want to know about. Alternatively, it's greatest value is as a keepsake for yourself. Regards, Larry.

Addendum: Jack's comment is well taken, depending on local laws, which vary from state to state. Bottom line: Guard your bottom!

  8. Ok, I just looked on ebay. They are for sale but the max price for one antler that was 71" was about $30!!!

As for the legality, check with the fish and game department about it. Ask specifically if you can sell shed antlers that you find. Many states will allow it IF you obtain a permit through the fish and game department.

  9. One antler? Its never going to sell for a $100, there are millions of deer out their!

  10. Ha Ha..good luck getting $100, realistically you'll get $5 MAYBE $10.

  11. I get $100-150 for shed moose antlers in Maine. Sell them when the tourists come to town.

Deer antlers make good cribbage boards.

Try Ebay you might strike it rich.

  12. $100???!!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

If you get $10 out of it youll be lucky.

  13. $100? lol they are not rare, at all. you would be lucky to get $5.
