  1. if he doesn't have all his teeth yet hes probably under six weeks all but if hes eating he has to be close to five at least but when there that young they still need formula so you should mix formula with canned soft kitty food so he gets all his nutrients and make sure he gets alot of water too there alot of work and need fed about every four hours good luck

  2. Are his eyes open all the way? A kittens eyes don't open for fourteen days. If his eyes are open, does he still wobble when he walks or fall down alot? If his eyes are open but he is still unsteady when he walks he is probably between two weeks an four weeks old. He doesn't recognize the bottle as the source of food. Take a small flat bowl that he can easily eat out of without raising his head over the rim, a peanutbutter jar lid works great just take out the paper liner, mix about a large spoonfull of wet catfood with enough warm milk to make it not quite runny but very soft and put it in the jar lid. Adjust the amount by how much he eats. If he cannot scamper about without being unsteady or falling over then he needs to eat about every three to four hours. Put a towel under the lid because he is going to get his feet in the food. Don't worry about it or get frustrated with the mess he will orientate where to put his mouth by eating between his front feet. DO NOT WASH HIM IN THE SINK!!!! You could give him Pneumonia and kill him!! Just swab him off with a damp ,not wet, washcloth on his face and feet. He will naturally start to l**k himself clean. Make sure to put the leftover food in the fridge covered with foil. Don't microwave the food. To get it warm out of the fridge just float the can in a bowl of hot water about five or six mins. No need to heat room temp food. The warm milk will do it for you. Put a couple of old towels in a small box for a bed. Keep it in your bedroom so he can wake you up when he's hungry. You are now his mama as he sees it. He will become the most loveable affectionate spoiled baby when he is older. I have 3 cats that I had to do this with. I was given one that was 3 days old (BeeGee) who is now 7 years old, my dog brought one in who was 5 to 7 days old (Skunk-for the white stripe down her otherwise tabby back!) who is now almost 2, and Scout who's mama was hit by a car when he was only 7 days old. He is 2 years old now and spoiled rotten! He is rolled up in my lap demanding I pay attention to him even as I try to type this (LOL)! It takes alot of time and lost sleep but the rewards and unconditional love are more than worth the lost sleep and mess of the first two months. As your kitten gets older mix less milk and feed him less often. Go from every 3-4 hours to about an hour longer between feedings per week until he is about 3 months old. He wont like the weaning but thats what his mama would do. At about 3 months you can feed him wet food once a day and offer him dry food all the time. By the way, to get him to start eating the wet food mix dip your finger into it and hold it to his mouth till he starts to l**k your finger. Don't suffocate him with it however. Try not to get it up his nose and don't pry his mouth open or shove it in. Once he starts l*****g your finger lower it into the food and let him follow it. once he starts eating out of the bowl\lid remove your finger. It won't take him to long to figure out where to eat. always feed him out of the same lid in the same place so he will recognize his food until he outgrows it.Skunk still goes to see if there is food in her jar lid. Now I use it as a special treat dish in her special eat spot! Good Luck and Bless You for saving a special little life. He will thank you for it for many years to come!

  3. No one can tell yo how old he is over the internet with out a picture. Take him to a vet. He will need to see a vet anyway, especially since you found him outside. When he is old enough, you must take him to ge his shots and neuter, so you might as well take him now for them to identify his age.
