  1. Have you attempted to find it's owners? If it's approx. 8 weeks someone other than the mother has to have been caring for it and it is possible for it to have gotten out rather than being dumped.

Try to find it's owners before deciding to keep it yourself.

  2. A labrador would definitely not be 2.5 pounds at 8 weeks.

It could be any of the toy breeds. Some of the poorly bred chihuahuas could somewhat resemble a labrador.

  3. you need a picture if you actually want people to be able to identify the breed.

  4. Please try to find the owner. There may be a broken hearted family frantically looking for that puppy.

Contact your local animal control or city animal shelter, and tell them you found the dog. Give them a picture and a description. Tell them you will foster the puppy and that you will keep it if the owner is not found. This is the only responsible thing to do.

  5. nobody knows

  6. post a picture of it, i am sure people will know when they have seen it.

  7. Try and find the owners first! If it's about 8 weeks it could be someones new puppy that has escaped or something.

Put up flyer's in the area you found the puppy. And take it to the vets to see if it has a microchip.

I'm sure it has a home.

And, we can't really tell what breed/mix the pup is without a picture.

  8. Males should stand 22.5-24.5 inch (55.9-62.5 cm) tall at the withers and weigh 65–80 lb (30–36 kg). Females should stand 21.5–23.5 inch (54.5–60 cm) and weigh 55–70 lb (25–32 kg). By comparison under UK Kennel Club standards, height should be 22–22.5 inch (55.9–57.2 cm) for males, and 21.5–22 inch (54.6–55.9 cm) for girls

  9. A dog that is solid colored with floppy ears does not automatically make him a Lab or Lab Mix there are many dogs that look like that as a young dog then changes as they get older. You puppy could even change color as he grows. Please snap a picture so people can try to give you a small idea of what he is. Even with that, you will never know what he really is with out a Mother or Father to look at or know.

  10. Well at 6 weeks my lab mix was already 7 pounds, and full grown she is 60.  Apparently if you double their weight at 4.5 months that is a guess as to how much they will weigh.

  11. it could get anywhere from 80 to 180 lbs. depending on how much you feed it and how healthy it is go to the vet and find out
