Found a racing pigeon at side of the road so i picked it up and put him in a box. Don't think there is anything wrong with him(although he would not fly) just think he is exhausted. But what do i do with him let him rest then let him go or is there a number you can ring as he has got rings round his ankles.

  1. Contact these guys, he' should have a leg tag so they'll know who he belongs to

  2. The RSPCA should do the work for you and find the owner but I would let it rest and feed it sound seeds and put some water out in case it's just hungry.

    answer mine? :]

  3. Pigeon keepers who race them will only ring its neck as it has been in a race and lost its way so no good to them. But please ring the no. and tell them the no. on leg ring

  5. Do as Philip H says and get in touch with that link.

I found a dead one once and the owner was grateful to know what had happened to it.

  6. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

    2. Place pigeon in the prepared baking dish, and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Place peach slices over chicken, then sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar, ginger, cloves, and lemon juice.

    3. Bake for about 30 minutes in the preheated oven, basting often with juices, until pigeon is cooked through and juices run clear.
