So, there's this blue detecting thing that's like this...

I used ANTISpyware to get rid, but at the same time this thing was here, my MCAfee appeared. Like this...

So, I'm guessing it's something I need to get rid, but I can't find where to get rid of that Joke_BlueScreen thing.

  2. use adaware

  3. MESSENGER SPAM

    XP Home:

this set up is for Internet Explorer alone

do you get pop ups claiming that your computer is at risk?

those are called "Messenger Spam" !

    to stop messenger spam:

    open start page

    open administrative tools

    open services

these services are in alphabetical order

    you need to close two:

    a] Alerter

    b] Messenger

NOT related to MSN messenger or any other instant messenger

    right click each service

    click properties

    from drop down menu,select disable

another method to deal with those that get through is to copy the pop up address at the top of the pop up or pop under [ starts up AFTER you close a window ]

    open internet options [ start--control panel--internet options ]

    open content tab

    open settings

    open enable

    enter address

    click never

    close

    open Advanced tab

check to see if pop up blocker is checked

    close

  4. You have a wallpaper hijacker and lord knows what else on your computer. Here is what you do:

NOTE: on badly infected computers, you may have to install and run the scans from safe mode. Some programs will be actively disabled or damaged by the infections. When this happens, just pick another cleaning program until you find one which isn't knocked out. Then reboot and try some of the others. Lather, rinse and repeat until you have a clean system.

    Visit http://www.majorgeeks.com

Download, install and run the following:

    (drive cleaner)

ccleaner slim (removes junk and temp files so that the scans have fewer files to look through)

(anti-virus) Pick one, some infections disable cleaning programs, so try another until you can start removing the infections.

    AVG

    AntiVIr

    Avast

If your wallpaper has been changed (and you can't change it back).

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Wallpaper_Hija...

(anti-spyware) (This first group will detect and remove the worst infections. The 2nd group will clean up the stragglers).

    Superantispyware

    Malwarebytes Rouge Remover

    Malwarebytes anti-malware

    Threatfire

    spyware doctor starter edition

    ad-aware 2008

    spybot search and destroy

    Counterspy

    AVG anti-spyware

    Download and run combofix

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix...

Once you get the infections cleaned off, you have to repair the damage.

    Download, install and run

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4899.h...

    Dial-a-fix

Go through everything. This will fix a bunch of things that infections love to break. If you still have problems, (parts of windows is broken) you need to do an Windows repair install.

    Good luck
