  1. well i would say just leave the eggs alone and by chance if the parents do come make shure they can see it.if the dont come within about 2 to 3 hours call the Wildlife Rehabitator.also its highly unlikely u will get any such disease.

  2. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest. If the nest has been destroyed..make a "nest" using a basket or pail with a handle and tie the basket up as close as possible to the original nest location.  Add grass, twigs, etc. for warmth. The parnets should be able to find them there and continue to care for them.   Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. I would not worry about diseases...I have been handling baby chicks for years with my bare hands and have never gotten sick.  Mites would be the only concern, and not all birds have them, and they cannot live on humans anyway.   If for some reason the parents do not care for them, get them to a rehab.  You can watch from afar to see if the parents are feeding...but give them time to find the new nest before you attempt to take them to an expert.   Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  3. The best idea is to get a whicker basket or a margarine cup and MAKE a nest for them. DON"T TOUCH THE BABIES. once you make the nest, you hang it from the tree where the old nest was. Put the babies in it. make sure it is under cover and accessible to the parents. Watch from afar, with binoculars if possible and wait until the momma bird comes back for them. if she doesn't come back within 2 hours, take the baby birds in the makeshift nest into a quiet place in your house. AWAY from drafts. CALL YOUR LOCAL WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER IMMEDIATELY.

avoid peeking, touching, noises(telephone, TV, humans), drafts(could cause respiratory infections).

if you can't find your local wildlife rehab center, then call a local vet.

    good luck!

add- it is very unlikely that you will get an infection from them or disease from them. especially if you are following my advice and NOT touching them as much as possible.

  4. I'd have to say it's too late. Birds move on fast. Are the eggs warm or cold? If they're cold, they're most-likely dead.
