Foundation and power makeup question? help! :]

Question

ok well some people said using foundation (liquid) then like base over thast helps make your base not soo red. Well i was wondering what liquid foundation i can buy and what color at walgreens. I am using a base from covergirl its called simply powder and its a classic ivory color. Can you plz tell me what color foundation to buy ? Thank youZ!

Have you tried mineral makeup? Its actually pretty amazing! I use L'Oreal Bare Naturale. It works wonders. And unlike liquid foundation it doesn't feel like you are coating your face. Its about $12-13 at Walmart but its def worth it!

Well that is hard to answer considering I don't know your skin tone, or the names of all the different colors of foundations. But i could give you a few tips. So first, pick the brand of foundation you want. I would go with either Maybelline or Covergirl. Bring a mirror to the store, and hold up each tube that you think would be the closest match to your skin tone to your cheek/jaw line. Try and do this in good lighting. Which ever seems to match the best, then bingo! Remember though, your skin tone in the summer and winter are much different, so make sure to go back when you start to lose your color, so that your not walking around with an orange face.
