i have used foundation before, but i typically just use some stick concealor that i blend in well and then dust some pressed powder over the top to keep it in place.

i have had acne for a long time, and i have decided that i need to start to use foundation regularly again.

problem is, i don't know what type to get, there are so many choices.

i can't afford anything too expensive, but i would love some suggestions on any foundation that i could find to match my skin color, i am pretty pale with lots of pink undertones.

acne coverage is a huge plus, and anything that would help me stay...not so oily.

thanks =)

  1. try   Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

    you have to try it on your face to find the right color for you

  2. Have you tried mineral powder foundations? They don't give as heavy coverage as a stick and liquid/creams, but since they are powders, will not leave your face oily. A lot of the mineral foundations out there on the market are pretty cheap, come in lots of colors, and are easy to apply. I know Bare Escentuals is a popular brand, but there are cheaper ones out there. What you'll want to do is buy a neutralizer shade if your acne makes your face reddish: a light green (sounds weird, I know) will cancel out the redness. You can apply a regular-color powder foundation over the green to really even out your complexion.

    You can also try a sheer mineral liquid foundation like Neutrogena Mineral Liquid Sheers (or something like that). It gives sheer coverage without a lot of pore-clogging harsh chemicals.

    The problem with using heavy foundations is that the more you use to cover up acne, the more acne you will continue to have, because if you sweat during the day, the dirt and oil will mix with the foundation and clog your pores. It is also not the most attractive thing when people use a lot of heavy cover-up over their acne (makes their face look purple). I would really stick by my first suggestion, using mineral powder foundation. Get yourself a nice skincare regimen that involves cleaning out the dirt from your pores, a toner, and a moisturizer.

  3. this is what i use

    philosophy  supernatural - airbrushed concealer

    covers pimples very well

    i cant recommend my foundation to you because its for dry skin so it may break you out more. but try out that concealer it works great
