  1. you can use pressed powder (compact)

it won't feel as caked up.

    :)

  2. It makes me feel fake too. I use Clinque pressed powder which is way better. Just go to Macy's or Younkers and tell them what you are looking for and they will help you find the perfect color.

  3. It makes me feel fake if I put too much on by mistake.

I sometimes mix moisturiser with foundation to stop it looking as heavy.

  4. I use Bare minerals foundation and it feels so light that you can't even tell you're wearing makeup.I have worn liquid foundation before and it felt so cakey that I felt like I was wearing 10 pounds of makeup, probably because I wasn't used to wearing it.But I definitely recommend Bareminerals.

  5. i got your point there....

in fact,, it really depends on how much you put on your foundation.... if it's really soft,, it will appear just the same.. it just gives you more 'flawless' look.. and if you just need it on your cheeks, just apply it there.... BUT NEVER FAIL TO BLEND IT.. or you'll look so fakey...

you can try to buy foundation from drugstores like maybelline, revlon and covergirl... maybelline and revlon have very great foundation in an affordable price

  6. Use blusher that's skin colour, or maybe a powdered foundation. I personally never wear foundation, I hate the feel of it too.

  7. No not really ~ I add a bit of water to thin the foundation

Also, you could use a tinted moisturizer that isn't so heavy

Also, you could try a sheer powder that might cover some of the pink cheeks

You can try the Minerals stuff (not the expensive stuff but the stuff in the Drug Store) but I thought it plugged up my pores and made my skin look like a mask !!! I hated it.

  8. Well if you feel fake and icky then the stuff that your using is cheap or just not for your skin type. MK offers a great line of foundations that allow your skin to breath. You should check it out! You have to Login or Register if you don't have an account but it's free and only takes seconds to do and they don't send you junk e-mail. You can also do the Virtual makeover and see some colors on your face. I hope you find what your looking for, take care!

  9. Nah Blad. It Makes Yuu Feel Sexayy ;) x

  10. bareminerals is meant to be very good for a natural look. I've never tried it, but I've heard a lot of glowing reviews.

I totally know what you mean about feeling fake. I don't wear foundation because of that.

The starter kit has foundation in it, and also the whole thing is customisable to your skin tone. Looks pretty cool.

    Hope I helped.

  11. i only wear mine sometimes, but i think that you should look into a mineral foundation.

  12. I did if I wore liquid foundation but not with mineral foundation. It still looks just like my skin... only better. I like to go really easy on the foundation, as long as I don't have any blaring imperfections like a big zit showing or a big red blotch then I'm satisfied, which the mineral makeup covers. Other things, like my beauty mark, that I don't want covered aren't because I simply don't use the concealer brush there but it still looks smooth because of the powder over it.

I used bare minerals for 3 years but just switched to everyday minerals in semi-matte, it has the same ingredients minus the bismuth oxychloride which can irritate some peoples' skin and it's 1/2 the price... and you can get a free sample kit at everydayminerals.com I only paid $3 shipping.

If you have absolutely no money I don't think there is much you can do except using food to try to improve your skin without covering it with makeup.

Try placing cold, wet chamomile teabags on your red spots. It should calm the skin and reduce redness. My mother used to do this when I would get burned.

If you have milk powder, mix 2 tablespoons with enough water to make a thin consistency so that you can rub it on your face - just slightly liquidy. Smooth it on and leave it for 10 minutes then rinse it off. I have seen before and after pictures of this and it worked really well for the entire skin.

There is a honey-avocado mask for dry skin but do NOT use this if you are acne prone at all.

    2 oz ripe avocado flesh

    1 oz orange juice

    1 tsp pure honey

    1 tsp molasses

    1/8-1/4 cup cold chamomile tea

Put all the ingredients in a blender, or mash by hand in a bowl. Add extra tea if the mixture is too thick. Use your fingers to spread the mask over your face and neck and leave it on for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer, before removing. Use a warm washcloth to rinse off the mask.

And this one is for blemishes

    1 chopped tomato

    1 tbsp of instant oatmeal

    1 tbsp lemon juice

Blend all ingredients just until combined. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas. Add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave on 10 minutes. Wash with warm water.

  13. That's because foundation IS fake. Its a way of replacing your drab uneven acne filled skin with a "fake" cover.

Ask yourself, if I wash my face right now (take off all the make up) will it make a dramatic difference? Some people wear cover up but once they take it off...whoooaaaaa danger!

Cover up/foundation actually damages the skin futher. People wear it to cover up acne or even their skin tones not realizing that even if its mineral based (which is better for your skin) it still suffocates the skin making the healthy skin underneath the top layer which is growing, to not grow healthy (its lacking moisture and nutrients that the cover up is suffocating) causing the skin to be WORSE hence having to CONTINUE wearing make up.

If you get sunshine once a week for 30 minutes it will dry up acne and even the skin tone. Now i dont mean go out and burn so that you cause your self damage, but even doctors will say sunlight in moderation is the healthiest thing in the world for you a natural cure for almost every type of skin/mood condition.

  14. well i used to feel like that until i tried bareminerals foundations and they feel soo natural and people tell me i look natural.

so i suggest you save up and buy bareminerals!
