I have a kicker 750.1 already which is 850watts, I was thinking of getting 2 15'' CVRs or, I can save some money and get Four Kicker Comp 12''s and run less power. 600rms total for the 4 with a 2channel amp bridged. which would be louder? I make my own boxes.

  1. 2 15"cvrs

  2. Well the two 15s of course.  As long as you have enough room for perhaps a 4-5 cube box.  More power output along with a bigger surface area makes anything louder.  In the end its your own choice but I would go for the 15s.

  3. sound quality would go well for the 4 12" subwoofers, bigger bass and lower notes with the 2 15" subs. i would go with the 15's because i like bass, but you might not enjoy low, ear pounding notes. if you don't then the 12's will act more as speakers, that produce the song with bass, and sound quality over SPL in your car. very loud though, either way, but the 15's will rock your car, so you would need aftermarket speakers hooked up to a new amp if you want sound quality. if not then be my guest and i choose the two 15" subwoofers!

  4. the four 12s would be louder and hit harder- when it comes to bass your RMS wattage is important but not as important as your surface area

    2x15=30inches

    4x12=48inches

    so the 12s would give you a lot more surface area, you would need another 15 to make up for the surface area
