Four Dundee United players are involved in street disturbance

Dundee United have confirmed that two of their players were arrested in a disturbance in the early hours of Wednesday 3 November.
Scott Allan, an 18-year-old midfielder with the club, was charged with assault at Glasgow Sheriff Court for an incident that left two people injured on Queen Street.
David Goodwillie was also charged in the incident, but the 21-year-old did not appear in court.
According to the procurators fiscals office, Goodwillie’s involvement was “under consideration”, but he had been released by the police.
Two other Dundee United players, Danny Swanson and Barry Douglas were involved in the incident, but neither player was arrested over the disturbance.
Dundee United manager Peter Houston told the BBC that, "I do not wish to make any comments which may be construed as prejudicial as far as the specific incident is concerned. However, I will be both disappointed and angry if it transpires that my players
allowed themselves to be put in a position whereby they became involved in a disturbance in the early hours of the morning, when they should have been home in bed."
The manager has yet to speak with the four players involved in the incident, but they are likely to face some form of club punishments for what transpired, while Allan and Goodwillie could face legal cases if they are found guilty of any charges.
"The players will be spoken to at the earliest opportunity," Houston added.
Dundee United are currently in sixth position in the Scottish Premier League, having picked up 14 points in 10 games.
Manager Houston will be disappointed that Dundee United will have to deal with the four players when the team is preparing for a league match with Hamilton.
Douglas, Goodwillie and Swanson all played in Dundee United’s 1-0 win against Hibernian, while Goodwillie scored the only goal.
All three players may now lose their places for the visit to Hamilton.
