Four Nations likely to use his experience in Betfred Mobile Sports Stakes at Goodwood
Four Nations is expected to thrive in the Betfred Mobile Sports Stakes, scheduled to be held at Goodwood on Saturday, May 5th.
The four-year-old has a decent experience at Goodwood. In his first appearance at this venue in April last year, the gelding was pretty impressive.
Making no mistake all the way through, Amanda Perrett’s trainee sealed a classy win in the Try The totequickpick On All totepool Bets Handicap.
Although Star Commander gave him a hard time in the middle, the maverick runner managed to seize the top place by a neck’s distance.
In the following two outings at Goodwood, he remained slightly unlucky and finished fourth on the table. The George Materna-owned is making his comeback after staying out of action for more than seven months.
The American gelding is expected to use his enormous experience and extraordinary skills to bang his opponents in today’s 1m6f event.
Eight quality runners are all set to compete for a purse of £16,173. Their names are: Four Nations, No Heretic, Spice Fair, Lifetime, Taikoo, Woolfall Treasure, Very Good Day and Saint Helena.
No Heretic seems to be the biggest threat to Four Nations. The four-year-old is making his return after a break of almost a year.
He went on a long vacation after displaying a winning performance at Leicester, whereas the Ladbrokes.com Coplow Maiden Stakes saw him securing the top spot by ½ a length. It is going to be his first time at Goodwood and thus,
he would be under a bit of pressure.
Spice Fair is another to consider. The five-year-old is all set to make his seasonal debut after staying out of action for more than six months.
The Mark Usher-trained was triumphant in his previous race at Kempton, where he defeated the 15-8 favourite, Palazzo Bianco, by a neck’s distance in the Bet At bluesq.com On Your Mobile Handicap.
Spice Fair also has a decent record at Goodwood. In the last season, he upset Mohanad in the June 17th Evening Racing Stakes (Handicap).
Four Nations’ massive experience would be hard to tackle today. No Heretic and Spice Fair are likely to battle hard for the runner-up position. The latter can be preferred, because he has a better track record.
