  1. *sigh* I really hate when people use this for home work...

Look on spark Notes.. I KNOW it's there. that will have it

  2. Interesting, i had that same summer assignment, that same essay. I wonder if we live nearby. Anyways, i guess i'll manage to tell you what i put. The first obstacle is being told from childhood that you can't do what you want to do, you have that. The second is giving up what you love to pursue your personal legend. In this case, santiago gives up his sheep to go to the pyramids to find his treasure. Got it? ok, next. The third obstacle is fearing of defeats and failure along the journey. He fears at one point of not being able to make it across the desert, and decides to go back home. But he eventually overcomes that, and goes across. I don't remember exactly how he overcomes it, try going back to that part in the book if you need more details. Ok, i hope i helped so far, last obstacle is realizing your personal legend and feeling you don't deserve it. Santiago feels that he already has everything he wants, and that all he wants is to be with fatima, and feels that the treasure is not important, even though that's what he has been searching for. The alchemist helps him overcome this and tells him he can always return to his loved ones. So he sets off and finds the treasure, and returns to actually get it at the old abandoned church, the end. I really hope i helped, just message me if you have any more questions.
