  1. France is located in the northern hemisphere, which means that spring begins on March 21st and ends three months later, when summer begins. Summer then ends September 20th and is followed by autumn, which lasts three months as well. Winter then lasts until the beginning of spring, and the whole cycle repeats itself. In other words, the weather  probably changes roughly at the same time as in your area, unless of course you live in the southern hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, or any place else south of the equator.

  2. France is divided in four zones depending the intensity of winter - this is for instance valuable for gardenning  -

The hottest zone is for instance located in Sout-eastern France - with very hot summers and short winters - Perpignan, Nîmes, Carcassone, Nice where orange trees can grow, with 40° summers -

The normal zone such as Lyon or Limoges with four months winters and normal summers 34° maximums

The oceanic zone whith weak variations between winters and summers - and dominant rainy days ( Britanny, Normandy etc )

The "polar" zone with very long winters Clermont- Ferrand, Sochaux, Grenoble, Epinal - and shorter summers

  3. spring in france ,flowers everywhere rain and sun ,cold and warm

summer quiet warm but out of south some rain always possible ,fruit season

autumn ,rain is back ,but some nice days

winter fog cold rain ,frozen time ,less vegetation
