Question:

Four legged insect in my room. What is it?

It has a long thin body with two spikes at the end. It has two long thin brown wings going perpendicular from its body. It therefore has a "T" shape and has four legs, extending out in a diagonal shape from its body. It doesn't look like it was meant to have six at all. What in the heck is it? It's been sitting on the wall nearly 24-hrs now.

  3. If it really has only four legs, it's not an insect.

  4. Well, without a picture, it almost sounds like a praying mantis. They would be long and thin and walk on 4 legs while their other 2 front legs are used to catch food. But the wings don't stick out at a perpendicular angle to the body. There are other things it could be, that was just the first thing to spring to my mind. Dragonfly has 2 pairs of wings perpendicular to the body and 6 legs.
