Four runners lined up for Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Race (Fillies)
A total of four runners will be taking part in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Race (Fillies) at Dundalk in Ireland on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. The winner will run away with a cash prize of €13,000.
The distance to cover for the runners is 1 mile and going will be standard. The race is scheduled to start at 6:50 GMT and following are the entries confirmed for it: Up, Marvada, Royal Blue Star and Duchess Of Foxland.
Out of the above mentioned participants, the bookies have given the best odds to Up, who seems to be in very good rhythm at the moment. The punters will also have faith in her abilities, thus they will be placing a lot of bets in her favour.
The three-year-old filly has taken part in three events until now, winning just one. She was unable to make an impression in her debut race, as she finished 11th overall. However, her next outing proved to be quite an exceptional one, as she managed
to finish on top of the table by a comfortable margin.
A. P. O'Brien’s trained filly also performed really well in her most recent race, where she ended up fourth. This was not a bad result at all, as she was up against some quality runners.
Up will be ridden by J. P. O'Brien, who is quite new to the sport and is looking to make a name for himself.
Duchess Of Foxland is also not a bad runner at all and her recent performances have been good as well. She has got some experience compared to the race favourite, as she has entered 16 races overall.
The five-year-old mare has tasted victory in three races until now. In addition to that, she has also secured the runners up and third place spot on one occasion each. This shows that she has the potential to fight the front runners.
Mark L. Fagan’s trained mare finished fourth in her most recent race, which means she is in great rhythm at the moment. Her partner in the race will be W. M. Lordan, who has a decent record at this level, but needs to show some consistency.
The remaining two runners will also have a chance to fight for victory today, as they are quite capable of doing so.
