Four runners lined up for Three Mile Inn Handicap
Only four runners have been attracted towards the Three Mile Inn Handicap at Newcastle in England on Thursday, May 31, 2012. A cash prize of £4,075 will be awarded to the winner of the class-4 event.
The stamina of all runners will be put to a stern test, as the overall distance to cover is 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 93 yards. Furthermore, the going will be good to firm and following runners will be seen in action: Rainbow Gold, Grandiloquent, Venegazzu and Ventura
Spirit.
Although the competition is expected to be a close one, the best chances of victory are with Grandiloquent, who has got a very good record at this level. His stamina is also very good, which will help him make a strong impact in the race.
The three-year-old colt has participated in a couple of races in his career, which shows that he is not experienced at all. However, he is not short of confidence, as his performances have been impressive.
Grandiloquent made his debut in October last year, but was unable to finish on top of the table back then. He still gave a tough time to his opponents and finished runner up in the end.
The Sir Michael Stoute’s trainee was so good at the start of his career, which helped him earn the best odds for his second outing. He did not disappoint anyone and managed to win it comfortably by a couple of lengths.
A similar run would definitely ensure another victory for Grandiloquent, who is carrying the winning momentum right now. He will be partnered by seasoned rider, Richard Mullen, who has enjoyed plenty of success at this level. However, he lacks consistency,
as his strike rate is on the lower side.
There is a big possibility that Rainbow Gold might cause a few problems for his opponents in the race at Newcastle. He too has got a very good stamina and will test the skills of his main rival, Grandiloquent.
The three-year-old colt has taken part in four races, but has never managed to win. However, he has secured the runner up and third place once each, which shows that he is capable of winning.
