Four runners lined up for action in bet365 Classic Trial (Group 3)
Only four runners have been attracted towards the bet365 Classic Trial (Group 3) at Sandown in England on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The winner of the class-1 event will be awarded a cash prize of £31,191.
The going will be heavy in the 1 mile, 2 furlong and 7 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 16:15 GMT. Following are the runners lined up for action today: Imperial Monarch, Rougemont, Stipulate and Thought Worthy.
Looking at the statistics of all runners, the bookies have awarded Imperial Monarch with the best odds. Although he does not have a good strike rate, the punters are likely to risk a lot of money in his favour.
The three-year-old colt has only taken part in just one race until now, but he performed exceptionally in it, ending up on top of the table. He was not rated as the favourite for that event, but surprised one and all with his skills. The most impressive
thing was that he managed to create a decent gap of three and a half lengths to the runner up.
The A. P. O'Brien’s trainee has got a very good chance of bringing up his second consecutive victory in the sport. It will not be an easy task for him, but he has the tools to lead his rivals at Sandown today.
Imperial Monarch will be partnered by J. P. O'Brien, who is relatively new to the sport, but has earned a few victories in his career. He will be looking forward to a strong show in order to attract more bets in the future.
Other than the race favourite, Stipulate might also attract a few bets in his favour, as he is a decent performer. He has got a little more experience, as he has entered four races in his career until now.
The three-year-old colt has managed to win a couple of events and also has a third place finish to his name, which means that there was only one occasions, where he failed to make it to the top three. He will be partnered by Tom Queally in the race today.
Looking at the form of the other two runners, they cannot be ruled out at all. Therefore, the race at Sandown is expected to be a cliff-hanger today.
