  1. Errect temporary electric fence around new laid turf.


  2. I don't mean to sound out of line but if it was me a 12 guage.They are very pesky.

  3. If you are certain it is badgers, get several small mouse traps. Don't bother baiting them, just set them and place them around the area of the turf. It will quickly run them off.  If they are the small ones, it won't hurt  cats or dogs that might venture over, but will startle  the badgers and run them off.

  4. They are a real nuisance!  The best deterrant is the temporary electric fence already mentioned, although covering the area with chicken wire - well staked down will deter them too.  Good luck :-)

    Badgers love these and will dig up turf and soil infested with them.

  6. put tacks on the surounding area..they'll stand on one or two and will be put off, it won't kill them but will make them think.
