Fourth of July horse activities.....?

Question

How many of you camped, (I did), went to a horse show, horse camped, rode lots of miles on your horse??

My son and I went on a trail ride on the 4th, then on the 5th and 6th, he competed in pony club tetrathlon (riding, running, shooting, swimming).

On the 4th of July I decorated my horse up with ribbons of red white and blue and then i put flags all over my saddle. I dressed up too and we went around all the trails  by ourselves. It was really fun, but most people were laughing at us!!

I live in Canada. So I sat at home looking at pictures of my horse :P

It was pretty warm here. We swam, BBQ'd, hung out with good friends/neighbors. Did a little gardening. Darn red ants here are driving me NUTTSSSS!!!!! So I was dealing with them too....  I sure wish we were camping!!!!! Were you where for sure!!!!! :)

Oh man, wish I did!! I was stuck at the in-laws house with screaming kids, crazy neighbors and frightened dogs... Pshh.

Would've loved, loved, loved! to be hitting the trial with the horses or camping out with the hubby and girls... Lucky!!!

We don't celebrate the 4th here in the UK ( be funny if we did)

Glad I wasn't camping - all it did here was rain.

well my horse was on layup and she will be on layup for about a year.so i just went to watch the fireworks
