The former Watford boss spent a two-year spell with Swansea City, before taking over the Anfield managerial post at the start of June. He lifted the Welsh club from the Championship into the Premier League, and helped them finish 11th in the league
table last season.
Apart from his impressive stats at the Liberty Stadium, Rodgers is also credited for introducing possession retaining and fluent passing football in the English league.
Fowler, a veteran of 266 league games for Liverpool, lauded Rodgers’ achievements with Swansea in the previous season, and let out his commendation for his modern day management methods.
While talking to reporters, he said: “Rodgers has come in and his record at Swansea last year was fantastic, he had them playing the right way and everyone enjoyed watching them. I've got no qualms about the way he wants to play.”
Besides heaping praise on his managing abilities, the 37-year old was also in awe for his desire to learn about the history and traditions of Liverpool and his remarkable speaking abilities.
