Fowls should be treated better. your opinion?

Question

being treated as good as dogs and cats is something i've wanted for them for a long time, and they deserve it for how they help us.

for those of you not educated in zoology fowls are chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, swans, jungle fowl, guinea fowl and pea fowl.

all im really asking is that people respect them for what they are, their animals that help in our everyday lives by feeding us, just like dogs when they pull people out of flaming buildings.

and not just be treated like unprocessed drum sticks and things like that.

People are stupid and heartless, chicken, turkeys ect are jsut as smart and caring as the 'pets' we love, people need to see this

I am a vegetarian and have strong views on animal welfare.  My opinion is if you eat meat of any kind, then you really shouldn't have any strong moralistic views on animal welfare.  You are yourself perpetuating animal abuse.

Fowl aren't as intelligent as cats or dogs, but they are still wonderful animals. I kept several pet chickens for years and thought they were great; I look forward to hopefully having an opportunity to have some again some day. I hope that at some point someone will establish an organization that treats poultry humanely so that there is an alternative to the abusive facilities that are out there today.

definitely finally there are some people out their with a heart and who care about these poor animals

I own 12 ducks, 34 chickens, and 8 geese all who are pets and lovely friendly creatures.. they all have names and unique different personalities a few of mine are even rescue hens

(a few broilers saved from death and instead of being killed art 6 weeks they are now 2 years old and thriving)

fowl/poultry are some of the WORST (if not the worst )treated animals in the world

*they are stuffed into tiny cages (battery hens)

*force-fed with metal tubes 4 times a day (foi Grass ).. ducks and geese in FRANCE mainly

*made so fat that they can't walk/move and crammed with 100's of other birds into , dirt , smelly and disease ridden sheds (broiler chickens) and killed at 6 weeks so they never even had a Chance to breath , live

like a chicken

KFc is one of the cruelest industries in the world .. i never touch the stuff!!

in today's society chickens , ducks geese etc are just "commodities" , egg laying machines  and drumsticks

It's a disgrace and Must be stopped

and FYI fowl/poultry are bloody intelligent and sociable creatures..... turkeys will even play their own version of football with apples if given half a chance .. but no they are stuffed into shed and slaughtered un-mercifully for the greed of man.

poultry should be taken off the food menus altogether and that goes for all Animals even cows, sheep fish etc

It Never was and never will be right

animals have lives and  feelings too

and it's about bloody time they got some respect and shown for what they truly are

smart, sociable intelligent creatures all with different personalities.

they should be treated better, those birds need more and better respect....i wish fowl was never in the food chain ....i dont eat fowl at all
