Fox Hunt eying on Nad Al Sheba Trophy – Meydan Preview
Mahmood Al Zarooni’s talented gelding, Fox Hunt, will hunt for a mega triumph at Meydan (UAE) racecourse today, March 1 when he participates in the high-voltage Turf race of Nad Al Sheba Trophy Sponsored By Attijari Al Islami.
The Group 3 contest of 1m6f11y distance with big prize money worth £77,419 will commence at 5:30.
Twelve runners are enlisted to show their guts. These include Mashoor, Electrolyser, Averroes, Modun, Jakkalberry, Fox Hunt, Rostrum, Irish Flame, Once More Dubai, Glen’s Diamond, Opinion Poll, Kasbah Bliss, Manjakani and Astral Thunder.
Though Fox Hunt has been at the peak of form since the very beginning of his career but he gained great momentum in September 2011 and carried it through February 2012.
The five-year-old dashing runner won a big race on September 18, 2011 and finished seventh in a tough outing on November 1.
In his last start at Meydan on February 3, the young colt, being a 15-8 favourite, displayed outstanding performance and notched up top spot.
Fox Hunt made his debut with a fabulous victory on August 2, 2010. During June 2011, he accomplished a couple of excellent triumphs.
The total earning of the colt to date is £255,402. He is owned by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
The Irish colt seems to be all ready at the moment to show his heroics. He has as high as 90 percent chances to finish first.
Among Fox Hunt’s other competitors, Irish Flame and Glen’s Diamond seem to be in favourable positions to do well today.
Irish Flame has won 7 out of his total 18 starts so far. After registering a magnificent hat-trick during May-July 2010, M F De Kock’s black horse won a big race on November 10, 2011.
The six-year-old brilliant runner is expected to show a decent run today, having 70 percent chances to win.
Glen’s Diamond has won 4 out of his 8 outings to date. Richard Fahey’s black horse bagged all four victories in a row from August 2010 to May 2011. He has 75 percent chances to thrive today.
Overall, Jakkalberry, Kasbah Bliss and Opinion Poll also possess enough capabilities. Thus, Meydan will witness a heated clash today. Good luck to all the runners. Let us get ready for the action.
