Fox Hunt up for taking away another honour for Mark Johnston and Silvestre de Sousa

It is no doubt a reviving season for all the horses and their connections at the tracks as it is not only the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup and the Ascot on Qipco British Champions Day making news rather the Melbourne Cup is also spreading through like fire
in a forest.
Fox Hunt is turning out to be as lucky for Mark Johnston as the luck would stretch and more. Thriving along with this enviable partnership is Fox Hunt’s jockey, Silvestre de Sousa.
Fox Hunt finished the Deutsches St Leger Group 3 for 3-year and older first by breaking out strong from the stall, settling right behind the leader and eventually had to battle through the final furlong, taking lead by 50yards before crossing the wire.
Managing second to him was Fair Boss with W Hickst and A Pietsch while Dawn Twister with A De Vries made it to the third position.
This victory has qualified Fox Hunt for the upcoming Melbourne Cup. Another contestant for the Cup is Godolphin’s Modun who was previously under charge Sir Michael Stoute.
These two horses have encountered each other before as well at the Betfred Ebor (Heritage Handicap). The winner of the race was Brian Ellison’s Moyenne Corniche with Sir Michael Stoute’s Modun fourth and Fox Hunt himself was at the sixth place.
Fox Hunt and his connections should bear in their mind the potential competition that is awaiting so as not to let history repeat itself.
Fox hunt has stood out first four times this season, in June at the Ascot, again in June at the Epsom and in March at the Deauville.
His connections are not keeping their choices restricted to the Melbourne Cup rather they want to widen the horizon of the possibilities that they are exposed to and evaluate each one deeply and maneuver it in their own best interests.
"Fox Hunt still has several options and we shall have to talk things over with the connections,” said Deirdre Johnston, representing her husband at Dortmund.
Jukebox Jury turns out to be another one up for the Melbourne Cup which further clarifies the lines for the connections on which they will have to prepare and train Fox Hunt for the impeding test.
