Question:

Fox News; Liz Trotter's Obama Assasination Jibe?

I recently watched the Fox News report in which Liz Trotter deliberately "slipped" and compared Osama Bin Laden to Barrack Obama, then rectified that mistake by immediately following it with a jibe concerning the assassination of a presidential candidate.

This is entirely unacceptable. If this were McCain, she would've already lost her job. She made incendiary comments and knowingly laughed at a deplorable "joke" in which she was believed was somehow funny. I have nothing against Fox News but this woman should be fired!

Her apology was incredibly insincere. And I think this should be a main chat topic.

  1. Something should be done regarding a slip of the tongue---could this really be in the mind of the media, guest speakers, retired or not, this is not a joking matter and a mere apology wont wash.  This only demonstrate intelligent people make stupid mistakes and exhibits a hateful dark heart.

  2. She is retired, and she has apologized.  Unless you want her tarred and feathered this incident is over.

  3. i hope you aren't still crying?

  4. It was inexcusable and ignorant.

  5. It may have been a slip of the tongue initially but, she certainly intended to suggest that someone "take out both if we could" referring to Osama and Obama.  Where Osama's crimes do not need further discussing, what has Obama done to deserve all of this assassination talk.  We are a free democratic country that allows for someone to run for President and be elected by the people.  Those that would suggest that this right be taken away from Obama should face severe repercussions.  This most recent hint at an Obama assassination has awakened me.  I have already contacted the AP and will also contact Fox News and its sponsors.  Until a satisfactory course of action is pursued I encourage all Obama supporters to boycott the sponsors of Fox news.  We have to stop these suggestions before someone thinks that they actually have the right to restrict Obama's right to run for office.
