Question:

Fox Racing Boardshorts?

I recently ordered a pair of fox boardshorts from pacsun, http://shop.pacsun.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&productId=84848&parentCategoryId=10001&categoryId=25810&pageNumber=-1&sortBy=1#

and the Fox boardshorts doesn't have that fish net or meshy stuff inside. I heard that fish net helps prevent infection or something like that. (Although I don't see how since the holes in the fish net are pretty big). So I'm wondering if the boardshorts don't need that fish net thingy because from what I can remember, every swimming trunks I've bought had them and my American Eagle boardshorts has them too.

So is it ok that my Fox boardshorts does not have that fish net or do I have to wear underwear underneath when I go swimming?

  1. boardshorts these days don't come with the fishnet lining inside.. the actual sports brands at least don't. quiksilver, ron jon, etc.. swimming trunks do, because they're made for swimming, so they help keep your boys in place and in tact. they act like an undewear liner. boardshorts are typically for surfing, or boarding, and you don't need the liner inside.

it's up to you if you want to wear underwear under when you go swimming.. most guys out here in theOC don't.. and it's very obvious as they wear their boardshorts way too low to be legal, if you catch my drift. but they like the attention i suppose.

  2. Not all board shorts have the internal net. They're meant to keep your package in place, I understand. It's up to you whether you wear anything under them or not. I prefer not to myself. Just be careful where you take them off, though!
