  1. If You want a thrill Try calling fox at night with an electronic call and a flashlight with a red lens I have had fox get within 3 feet of me without seeing them and bark! it sends chills up your spine and scares the c**p out of you, I have also called in owls, bears, and coyote in this way It's a blast For Grey fox I suggest Grey fox pup in distress

  2. As much as I like to hunt I leave the foxes and bears alone.... Coyotes are plentiful as well as woodchucks so those are what I go after.....

  3. Two extremes by friend.  I think bear hunting is considered big game hunting.  There is definitely more of a RUSH with bear hunting than fox hunting.  A bear can kill you in a heart beat.

Fox hunting seems like an elitist sport.  Riding around on horses and c**p blowing bugles and chit.

    Go bear hunting...its more thrilling.

  4. Wow those are two completely diffrent hunts, Bear is normally in thick forest either spotting and stalking or tree stand hunting with bait or scents to attract them (Check with you'r fish and game office for laws, because some states do not allowed use of feed) and the season limits in most states are one bear. Where as foxes you usually hunt over a big prarie and use game calls which imitate a dying rabbit to attract the foxes and you will also be able to make shots at coyotes and bobcats and you will end up with quite a few animals, but they are much smaller then bear and most people consider them non-edible where as most people consider bear to be edible, and most hunts for bear you will get a shot within 50 yards but with foxes/coyotes/bobcats you will have to reach out farther then that you may have shots up to 200 yards.

  5. In my experience, calling in fox is more fun.  Its more interactive, tons or calls and decoys used.

Bear hunting, at least here in PA, is basically sit and wait.  Or putting on a drive to get them moving.  I've been bear hunting for 10 yrs or so and only seen bear once, not even in season.

As for going to canada where you hunt over bait, that would be cool, but not as challenging.  I'd still do it though.

But in the mean time i'd have to go with Fox, since you also have the chance ast calling in a coyote or bobcat with your predator calls.
