Fox tails? dangerous for dogs, is it the same for cats?

they look cool in a vase in your home, but if kept out of reach, are they dangerous to have if you own cats?

  1. So you'd sacrifice the health of your cat just for something that looks "cool in a vase"?  What if it was knocked over?  Would you really take that chance with your pet's well-being.  If so, you should NOT have pets.

    Foxtails (the plant, for those that don't know) are VERY dangerous to pets because they have sharp stickers in them that get can get stuck in your pet's ears, eyes, paws, everywhere.  Please read this and educate yourself:

  2. All I know is that if a dog plays with them, then your dog is in trouble.  Cats climb why take the risk. I'd put them someplace where a cat can't reach them, good luck.

  5. They can be dangerous for both because the seeds have little barbs on them and when they come in contact with a dog or cats coats (or your skin or whatever) they can work their way into the skin and cause irritation, injury and infection.
