  1. Roughly 60+ € depending on where you are going. (I assume you meant to say "downtown Paris")

The basic fare consists of a charge per mile which varies according to where you start from. For travel from CDG this is 01.35 €/km.

A "waiting charge" (for when you're stopped at a light or in traffic) also varies and from CDG is 29.10 € per hour.

There is also a starting charge of 2.20 €   and a charge for each piece of luggage.

If you don't wish to use public transportation (the RER light rail from CDG to central Paris costs only 8.20 €)  then I suggest using one of the airport shuttle services which, while more expensive than public transport, are far more reasonably priced than a taxi.

EDIT: To go from CDG to the geographic center of Paris (a driving distance of 29.9 km) would cost 41.76 euros.  This is if you have no luggage and if your cab is not slowed or stopped by traffic, makes every light, and your driver manages to figure out the most direct route.  In the real world this is generally not the case and charges for baggage and waiting time will increase the cost.

A taxi fare charge of 35 euros to the city center is simply impossible.

I leave it up to you to decide if the smart thing is to hope for the best or prepare for the worst.

  2. I take it quite often, I have never paid more than 50 Euros and that's with bad traffic. More average is between 35-40 Euros.

    Motorcab are 90 Euros.

Illegal cabs offer you rides for 60 Euros and try to convince you that it is cheap. It is not.
