wot do a french citizen have to do to get a EU licence?

  1. The EU has an agreement that gives all drivers holding an EU licence are granted driving privileges and does not requires having to take the test again, in fact the EU licence has the same format and size and colour the only difference will be in the language and the letter representing the country where the test was taken. so all a French citizen needs to do is take the test anywhere in europe including France.

    Now if you do not hold a EU driving licence some countries/states have agreements such as state of NY or Florida in which case all you have to do is show up at teh local prefecture de police with 3 id photos and your drivers licence to be granted a French EU one. ( You get to keep your initial one of course)


  2. you mean a EU driving licence?...well if so it's now done automatically when you pass the exam in any EU country
