  1. Use your head and ram through. LOL.

  2. That depends, of course, on where you are when you begin the journey between the two countries and where you intend to go.

If you're standing on the border which the two countries share and only want to cross you can walk. If you're in  Italy and going to the Paris you'd probably be better off flying or taking a train since a cruise won't get you that far inland in France. If you want to confine yourself to the Mediterranean portions of both counties a cruise would probably be superior.

A question with so little detail cannot have a rational answer.

  3. Flight for sure,u'll save time.10 days isnt much,so if u wanna explore these 2 countries to the fullest, i wud recommend u to take a flight instead.U can get budget flights from the links below.Good Luck

  4. By train you will see much more of both countrysides, which is spectacular. By boat, you'll have to get to southern France for the short trip to western Italy. Apart from what you see in your trip down south (assuming you drive through France) its pretty much the same all across the mediterranean.

Places to stay/ you are asking about 1000 km of distance and you'll have an equal amount of hotels, b&b, inn, etc

  5. ABSOULTELY by train, preferably overnight, tucked into a wagon lit bed, wrapped in their red plaid blankets, reading your fave book and eating Swiss chocolate hazelnut wafers!

Best town in Italy? Parma or Siena.

    Bon voyage.
