The only thing the French have is better weather the rest of the place sucks Just what has France got the Eiffel Tower and ? and ? As for the world most popular tourist place I bet Spain beat them for sheer numbers easily.

Some parts of the world have lots of royal families and virtually no tourist industry. I have never heard of a person say they went to any country because they have a royal family do to be honest.   I do know of people who went to one country in the sixties to work and stayed in a Royal palace and were welcomed. Just a matter of fact some Royal families are not snobs.  

I know I slept in a bed the Queen Victoria slept in at a royal compound. They told me I was not the first Irish person to sleep in it either.

i dont understand your question. france is a lovely country with lovely people. they murdered their royal family a long time ago. england hasnt murdered the royal family and should never do such a callous thing. that doesnt make france any better or worse. i love france but i dont condone the murder of the royal family.. where is the phoney argument?

And if it wasn't for Britain and her Royal Family, the surrender monkey garlic munchers would all be speaking German as would the rest of Europe so go figure.

I think you have to look at what attracts the tourist in each country before you start making illogical statements.

Many tourists go to to Paris it is regarded as a romantic city and areas of France have beautiful country side,

With the UK the main tourist attraction is the Royal family and residences, attractions such as the changing of the guard, I have many friends and acquaintances from the US and Japan and that is the reason the majority of tourists come from those countries.   They tend to be the the largest groups of tourists from abroad.   All of the site seeing coaches in London take in Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, High Grove with Balmoral and Sandringham attracting large swathes of tourists.

So the argument that the royalty attract large amounts of tourists is true although not the only reason tourists come to the UK
