  1. I live in Provence!!! yes there is a great weather but i advise you to live in a little village its cheaper and calm like meyrargues, cassis, la seyne sur mer...

You also can go in center of France!

  2. My fave city is Annecy. It lies downstream from Geneva, on Lac D'Annecy; right in under the western buttress of the Alps.

The people are extremely friendly and the city is a popular resort, in summer, with abundant water sports. There are several peaceful villages around the lake, within easy reach of the city. It is a reasonably short drive from the French Winter Resorts, so there is plenty to do all year round.

........... and of course Switzerland is only a hop step and jump up the road..........

  3. south, provence is great

  4. Like SUE I think Grenoble is the best place ti live. People are friendly (more than in Paris). You can do ski during the winter. You need 3 hours with your car to go in the Mediterranean sea.

This is a very young region and dynamic. Some people name it the French sillicone valley.

  5. I always thought the Alps sounded like a great place to live...Grenoble or thereabouts.

  6. PARIS IS LOVELY BUT EXPENSIVE

  7. Cary le rouet in the south of france really nice 1/2 an hour away from Marseille on the beach

  8. Hi, I would recommned Toulouse. Itsa fantastic spot I am enjoying currently. Plenty of places to learn French, and not many speak english here to you really want to know a bit. Tey appreacite it when you try to speak French to them.

Summer months it can get up at 34C weather, beautiful and a bit dry with heat, but its only 90mins to the beaches in mediterranean, or 2 hours to the atlantic. spoilt for choice.

As for the Winter, it gets to 5C i would reckon, and its cold and a bit rainy, but the sun can still shine with blue skies in the freezing weather and it feeling great. And again, only 2hours down the road your at Andorra or the Perynees mountain range.

For holidays you drive 4 hours and arrive at Barcelona. Or stay in France travelling along the coast to Montpellier, Marseille, Nice etc.. Its a fantastic spot.

There are plenty of ex pats living here because of Airbus, so pop into the Melting Pot, De Danu, Kilarney, Dubliners, Mulligans bars and you ahev no problem meeting people and speaking english.

With fete de la musique in June, a day celebrating music, the whole country gets into the vibe and the city shuts down to live music everywhere, or the third thursday in November being Beaujolais, where they celebrate the first day of the new wine. What is there not to like about this country??

Smothered in wine and cheese in this region its a fantastic spot!

Hope you make it there at least for a trip!
