A literal translation is “tu es genial” or “vous êtes genial/géniaux”. “Tu” is the familiar you – used with someone you know well – while “vous” is the plural/formal version – used to address several people or a person you don’t know well.

However, it all depends on the context. I wouldn’t say “vous êtes genial” to someone I don’t know – it’s too familiar.  And, it all depends on what you are trying to communicate. If you want to thank someone for getting something done “génial” can be appropriate – “Merci, tu es génial”.

However, if you are trying to compliment someone on their appearance there are better translations:  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€Âœtu es/vous êtes  superbe/magnifique/super”.
